KSS Incidents 23 – 31 January 2025
23 January 2025 11:00 Solitree Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes, a copper tap and valves had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the palisade fence. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

24 January 2025 08:07 Solitree Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there was a suspect in the vicinity. The suspect was apprehended. Nothing was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. The suspect was handed over to SAPS.

25 January 2025 06:55 Fraser Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from an on-site Security Guard requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the palisade fence. As per the client no need for SAPS.

27 January 2025 01:37 Old Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there was a suspect on site shoplifting. The suspect was apprehended. The stolen items were recovered. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

27 January 2025 13:14 Fraser Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a hose pipe had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the concrete wall. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

28 January 2025 04:33 Plant Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there was a suspect in the garden. The suspect was apprehended. Nothing was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS.

28 January 2025 18:48 Tweedie Road (Tweedie) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a pump cable and brass valve were stolen from a JoJo tank. Access was gained by jumping over the fence. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

30 January 2025 17:12 Wear Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the metal caps had been removed from 9 post boxes. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

30 January 2025 19:36 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a vehicle had put in R300 fuel and then driven off without paying. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. The vehicle was loaded onto the UCSI SNIPR system.

31 January 2025 08:45 Symmonds Lane (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been a break-in. Access was gained by jumping over the wall. A window was forced open. A gas bottle was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. The area broken into was not covered by the alarm system.

31 January 2025 10:18 Penny Lane (Hilton) The KSS control room was advised that the fence had been cut during the course of the night. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
