KSS Incidents 1 – 16 February 2025
2 February 2025 14:35 Mare Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a suspects had jumped over the fence. Items were stolen. The suspect fled when he realized he had been seen by the client. The KSS Officers recovered the stolen items. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area. SAPS were formally advised.
3 February 2025 09:18 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been intruders on site. Access was gained by bending the palisade fence. Nothing was stolen.
3 February 2025 16:10 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a KSS Security Guard requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a vehicle had knocked into a gate. The client was informed.
5 February 2025 15:33 Holiday Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a message regarding suspects jumping over a wall into a property. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspects fled when they realised there were dogs on site. Nothing was stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
6 February 2025 08:52 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a KSS Supervisor requesting assistance from SAPS. SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officer reported that while on patrol he noticed that air-conditioning pipes had been stolen. SAPS responded. A case was opened.
7 February 2025 7:10 Rhodes Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes and a tap had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.
7 February 2025 10.30 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from an on-site KSS Officer requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a shoplifter had been apprehended. SAPS were formally advised.
7 February 2025 18:24 Boston Bulwer R617 (Mpophomeni) The KSS Control Room received a camera activation showing two suspects on site. The KSS Control Room contacted Magma Response. Magma confirmed chickens had been stolen. Access was gained by crawling under the fence. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. Magma conducted additional patrols in the area.
10 February 2025 13:22 Rylands Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there had been a suspect on site who tried to open a bathroom window. The suspect fled when he realised he had been seen. Access was gained by jumping over a low front gate. Nothing was stolen. SAPS were formally advised. An incident report was noted.
11 February 2025 01:41 Karkloof Road (Karkloof) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there were rocks and timber on the driveway to block access. The KSS Officers removed the obstructions. A workshop door had been tampered with, and the latch was broken. The suspects fled. Nothing was stolen. The client was advised. SAPS were also formally advised.
14 February 2025 22:42 Boston Bulwer R617 (Mpophomeni) The KSS Control Room received a camera activation showing two suspects on site. The KSS Control Room contacted Magma Response. Magma confirmed chickens had been stolen. The suspects fled. SAPS were formally advised. Magma conducted additional patrols in the area.
14 February 2025 23:37 Prospect Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room was advised by a KSS Response Officer that an on-site Security Officer had stopped a staff member with items in her bag. KSS handed the matter over to the on-site manager.
15 February 2025 13:14 Rhodes Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that while checking the premises they apprehended a suspect hiding behind a JoJo tank. Access was gained by jumping over the wall. SAPS were formally advised. KSS handed the suspect over to SAPS.
16 February 2025 07:57 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation showing a suspect on site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect fled. Stolen steel tubing was recovered. As per the client no need for SAPS.
16 February 2025 16:17 Saligna Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm and CCTV camera activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported a that there had been a suspect on site. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen. The client was advised.
16 February 2025 17:28 Mare Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a table and shoes had been stolen off the veranda. Access was gained by jumping over the fence. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.
