KSS Officers are always alert to criminals in our community and have again facilitated the apprehension of suspects, and the recovery of stolen goods. KSS works closely with SAPS and other security service providers in the community and this collaborative approach with all stakeholders in the security space ensures that we keep our clients and the community at large safer.

KSS Incidents 17 February – 3 March 2025
17 February 2025 07:35 Polo Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

18 February 2025 07:03 Polo Avenue (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. KSS conducted additional patrols of the area. As per the client no need for SAPS.

21 February 2025 08:00 Karkloof Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room was advised that there had been a break-in. Jewellery had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

24 February 2025 00:34 Boston Bulwer R617 (Mpophomeni) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation. Magma Response was dispatched. The Magma Officers reported that chickens had been stolen. Access was gained through a hole in the fence.

24 February 2025 06:40 Oleander Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room was advised by the client that there had been a break-in. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that two batteries had been stolen from a truck. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

24 February 2025 12:00 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect was apprehended and in possession of stolen items. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

24 February 2025 12:30 Oakleigh Drive (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect fled. Stolen items were recovered. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

26 February 2025 07:25 Mapholoba Street (Tumbleweed) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that computers had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

27 February 2025 10:39 Bell Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that paint had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

28 February 2025 16:30 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there was an attempted break-in to a vehicle. The suspect fled. Nothing was stolen.

1 March 2025 13:00 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting that copper pipes had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

2 March 2025 10:48 Campbell Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a lock on the door had been broken. Copper pipes and taps were stolen, and the sinks were damaged. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

2 March 2025 15:41 Ogilvie Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV camera activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that copper items had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the fence. As per the client no need for SAPS.

3 March 2025 07:58 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that tools had been stolen. Access was gained by breaking the window to the workshop. As per the client no need for SAPS.

3 March 2025 8:47 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that there was a broken window. The client was advised. KSS conducted additional patrols in the area.

3 March 2025 09:19 Symmonds Lane (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from the client requesting assistance. A KSS Response Team was dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that an external geyser had been stolen. Access gained by jumping over the palisade fence. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

3 March 2025 10:11 Karkloof Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room was advised that there had been a break-in. Jewellery had been stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened. KSS Officers will investigate further with SAPS and have the details of the possible suspect.

3 March 2025 10:11 Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Units were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that an outside light and steel bar had been stolen. Access was gained by climbing over the electric fence which was deactivated at the time. As per the client no need for SAPS.
