KSS Incidents 16 -28 February 2026
16 February 2026 08:54 Pascoe Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a non-client reporting 2x break-ins. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had gained access by taking the glass out the window. Numerous items were stolen. A case was opened.

16 February 2026 08:19 Pinoak Avenue (Hilton) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a break-in had occurred to the office next door. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspect gained access from the back window. Laptops were stolen. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

16 February 2026 20:02 Buchanan Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a suspect had been apprehended. The suspect gained access by jumping over the gate. As per the client no need for SAPS.

17 February 2026 20:41 Pascoe Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a non-client reporting a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect gained access by breaking the palisade fencing. The suspect then removed the glass from the window to gain access into the house. A case was opened.

18 February 2026 00:30 Upfold Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that numerous items had been stolen. The suspect had fled. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area. A case was opened.

18 February 2026 01:57 Old Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from an outside Surveillance Security Company reporting suspects on-site. The client was advised. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspects gained access by breaking the lock on the gate. A door was forced open. The suspects fled. Copper pipes were stolen. A case was opened.

18 February 2026 18:29 Boston/Bulwer Road (Boston) The KSS Control Room received a panic signal. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that they had apprehended 3x suspects with stolen items. Stolen items were returned to client. As per the client no need for SAPS.

18 February 2026 21:13 Holiday Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers confirmed numerous items were stolen from site. Suspects gained access by jumping over the fence. The garage door was left unlocked. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

20 February 2026 00:30 Curry’s Post Road (Curry’s Post) The KSS Control Room received a message reporting poachers in Bense Road. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met with residents who advised the vehicle had driven away. The vehicle was then seen entering Curries Post. UCSI was advised as well as Outside Security Providers to be on the lookout.

21 February 2026 01:46 Greenfields Place (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that suspect gained access by cutting a hole in the fence. A lock was broken to a storage unit. The suspect had fled. Nothing was stolen.A case was opened.

21 February 2026 08:21 Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting items stolen from a vacant property. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that a gate had been stolen.

23 February 2026 07:22 Cedara Road (Cedara) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a break-in. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that the suspect had gained access by jumping the fence. Suspect stole 2x speakers. KSS handed the situation over to SAPS. A case was opened.

23 February 2026 08:48 Fraser Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a break-in. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspect had forced the burglar bars open. As per the client he will go through CCTV footage as he is unsure if anything is stolen.

rol Room received a call from an outside Security Provider requesting Armed Response. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspect had dug a hole under the fence to gain access to site. A window was not closed properly and the suspect gained access into the building. SAPS were formally advised. A case was opened.

23 February 2026 18:49 Greenfields Place (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera Activation of a suspect entering the premises. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that an all-round check was conducted. Nothing was stolen. CCTV footage revealed the suspect was being chased. He used the premises as an escape route.

23 February 2026 22:22 Protea Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a member of the public requesting Armed Response as there was a suspect onsite at a vacant property. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled. An all-round check of the property was conducted. Copper Pipes and wires were stolen.

24 February 2026 15:08 Loram Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a fence tamper. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met with the client on-site. KSS Officers reported an all-round check was conducted with the client. The garage lock was forced open. Electrical tools were stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

24 February 2026 00:50 Market Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera Activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect was apprehended. KSS Officers reported that as per the suspect he was looking for a place to sleep. An all-round check was conducted. Nothing had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

26 February 2026 20:31 Merrivale Off Ramp (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a member of public reporting a suspicious person walking with a black trolley bag. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers patrolled along the N3. The suspect fled upon seeing the KSS Response Teams. The bag was recovered and brought back to the KSS Office.

27 February 2026 00:43 Ogilvie and Mopani Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of suspects on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspects had fled. Access was gained by jumping over the palisade fence. KSS Officers conducted an all-round check. Numerous items were stolen including copper pipes which were recovered outside the premises. KSS Conducted extra patrols in the area.

27 February 2026 01:32 Boxer Avenue (Mpophomeni) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a security gate had been bent. Taps had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS.

27 February 2026 01:56 Violet Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met with the client on-site. KSS Officers reported a suspect pointed a knife at the client and demanded the cellphone. Access was gained through an open bathroom window. A case was opened.

28 February 2026 01:43 Greenfields Place (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of suspects along the fence line. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspects had fled upon noticing the KSS Officers. KSS Officers conducted an all-round check. Nothing was stolen.

28 February 2026 17:42 Laurel Crescent (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that they apprehend the suspect on-site. As per the client no need for SAPS.
