KSS Incidents 17 – 30 April 2026
17 April 2026 00:50 Pascoe Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a panic activation. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. A case was opened.

17 April 2026 07:15 Pearl Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a CCTV Camera Activation of a suspect on-site stealing avos. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had fled and left the avos behind. Client collected the avos from the KSS office. As per the client no need for SAPS.

17 April 2026 12:57 Harvard Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a Panic Activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met with the client on-site and reported that footage was shown to him of a suspect stealing. KSS Response Teams patrolled the area. KSS Officer reported the suspect was located and apprehended. As per the client no need for SAPS. Suspect was let go with a warning.

18 April 2026 01:09  Prospect Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from an on-site KSS Security Officer reporting a truck had knocked a fence over. The client was contacted. As per the client he will deal with it in the morning.

19 April 2026 07:08  Loram Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a non-client reporting seeing a suspect from a previous break-in. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers met on-site with the resident. KSS Officers patrolled the area and managed to apprehend the suspect. KSS handed the matter over to SAPS.

19 April 2026 23:25  Valley View Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting Armed Response. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met the client on-site who reported a suspect jumped into the yard and out again. An all-round check was conducted. Nothing was stolen. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

19 April 2026 21:52 Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the sliding door had been derailed. Nothing was stolen.

20 April 2026 07:08  Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a message of copper pipes being stolen. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers met the client on-site who reported that copper pipes had been stolen. A case was opened.

20 April 2026 10:23  Old Main Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a message reporting a positive break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported window handles had been stolen. Access was gained by cutting the fence. A case was opened.

21 April 2026 01:43  Elandskop/Vulindlela (Mafakthini) The KSS Control Room received an alarm activation. Private on-site Security Officer was contacted and requested SAPS. KSS Senior Officers were dispatched. KSS Senior Officers reported the cellphones belonging to scholars were stolen. A case was opened.

21 April 2026 13:35  Lawton Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting Armed Response. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. The KSS Officers reported that two suspects had stolen a cellphone off the counter. A case was opened.

22 April 2026 05:05  Tulip Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a Panic Activation. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. Suspects gained access by jumping over the wall. A case was opened.

22 April 2026 17:27  Loram Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a message reporting a CCTV Camera Activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect gained access by jumping over the wall. Suspect had stolen 2x computer monitors. As per the client no need for SAPS.

23 April 2026 08:34  Oakleigh Drive (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a member of the public requesting Armed Response as a minor had been knocked over by a vehicle. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officer reported that the minor had been taken to the clinic to be assessed.

23 April 2026 22:43  Devine Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting Armed Response as there was water gushing from the premises. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that copper pipes had been stolen. As per the client no need for SAPS. He will open a case in the morning.

24 April 2026 07:30  Zeederberg Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received a call from a KSS Response Team reporting they had apprehended a suspect. SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspect had stolen items worth R480. KSS handed the matter over to SAPS.

24 April 2026 18:35  Oakleigh Drive (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a Panic Activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a chair had been stolen. Client has opened a case. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

25 April 2026 04:19  Mare Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting an attempted break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers met on-site with the client who reported there was a suspect on-site however the suspect fled when he noticed the client. An all-round check was conducted. Nothing was stolen.

26 April 2026 23:51 Acacia Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a message of a break-in. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the suspects had broken into the property and stole house keys as well as a lock. Suspects gained access by jumping the fence. As per the client no need for SAPS.

26 April 2026 00:56  Rylands Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a Panic Activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officer met on-site with the client who reported that suspects were seen trying to steal the outside light but failed. The one suspect then threw 2x plastic chairs over the fence and fled. As per the client no need for SAPS. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

26 April 2026 06:12  Protea Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a suspect stealing roof-sheeting at the property next door. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that they had apprehended the suspect. KSS handed the situation over to SAPS. A case was opened.

26 April 2026 07:01  Saligna Road (Merrivale) The KSS Control Room received an Alarm Activation. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported suspects had stolen the electrical cables from the electrical box outside the property. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

26 April 2026 17:37  Birnamwood Road (Merrivale Heights) The KSS Control Room received a message from a non- client reporting solar panels had been stolen. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the home owner was away during this incident and only noticed it upon returning. Suspects gained access by going underneath the electric fence.

27 April 2026 01:36  Market Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a CCTV Camera Activation of a suspect on-site. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officer reported that an all-round check was conducted. Nothing was stolen. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

28 April 2026 23:04  Aster Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a loud bang coming from the outbuilding. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a suspect had broken the window. As per the client nothing has been stolen. No need for SAPS.

28 April 2026 10:09  Pearl Road (Howick West) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting Armed Response. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspect was trying to steal avos and fled. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.

29 April 2026 04:09  Braemar Crescent (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from an outside Security Provider reporting an Alarm Activation. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that while proceeding to the alarm they noticed the suspects fleeing and gave chase. KSS Officers managed to apprehend the 2x suspects. Access was gained by jumping the fence. Copper Pipes and taps were stolen. KSS handed the situation over to SAPS.

29 April 2026 09:37  Main Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a suspect had stolen shoes off the veranda. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that numerous items had been stolen. Access was gained by jumping over the wall. A case was opened.

29 April 2026 18:27  Somme Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a stabbing. KSS Response Teams and Emergency Services were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that a member of public had been stabbed with a pair of scissors and was being seen to by Emergency Services.

30 April 2026 10:18  Zeederberg Road (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client reporting a suspect had stolen items. KSS Response Teams and SAPS were dispatched. KSS Officers reported the suspect had stolen items worth R438.94. KSS handed the matter over to SAPS.

30 April 2026 18:03  Somme Street (Howick) The KSS Control Room received a call from a client requesting Armed Response. KSS Response Teams were dispatched. KSS Officers reported that the client had disturbed a suspect cutting copper pipes and the suspect fled. As per the client he will go open a case in the morning. KSS conducted extra patrols in the area.
